Con: bait and switch…My newer truck (only has 233 miles) has an offer from CarBuyerUSA. They dispatched an inspector, who declared the car to be practically brand new and faultless. Later, I received a call from the buying manager and funding team, who made me a $5,800 lower offer. When I questioned the situation and inquired about the inspection, I was informed that everything was fine, but that he would not alter the current offer given the state of the market. All of this happened over the course of a 24-hour period, and the initial, higher offer was only made to get things started and get me to agree to let someone come look at the car. After that, they started negotiating a lower price with me.
